Challenge adventure camp at EarthTeach
Wednesday, August 1 – Lammas Cross Quarter Day*
*“Lammas is a
cross-quarter day that is midway between the Summer
Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. Lammas is a celebration of
the first harvest. This is a time to share our abundance
with those we love. Lammas is also about change and
transformation, when the fruits of our harvest are
transformed (grain into bread, grapes into wine and Summer
into Winter).
Though it is still summer, the days are losing their power
and becoming shorter. From this day, begin to prepare for
the inner-directedness of Winter.”
